I have a refreshing blog:)

I found a very interesting link on my sister's blog. It's for having your blog critiqued. The blog is Critique My Blog I sent my blog in and this is what was written about it:

"This blog written by Essie is entitled, Life...What More Can I Say, and when you think about it, isn't that what blogging is all about. It is a diary of your life...like it or leave it...what more can you say about that. Essie's blog is full of "themed" photography and her own thoughts and pondering about life and what is happening in hers. No bells and whistles, just a straight up blog. Refreshing to see every once in a while. Well done."

It's neat to get an outsiders opinion on my blog:)

Theme: Empty

I posted this late last night so I didn't write much. But I've been asked to explain this picutre so I wiil:)
This picture was taken in Nigeria. The Nigerian houses near where I was don't have any running water so they get it all at wells or at the stream. So these buckets are all empty and are waiting to be filled at a well.

Parking Ticket...another thing that comes with a car:(

I woke up this morning and had a wonderful morning until I got in my car. I looked through my windshield and there was a yellow piece of paper under my wiper. I have never had one before but I knew it was a ticket. My crime? Parking between 3am-6am on the street. I have a problem with it though. There are no signs saying not to park there. I had no idea that I wasn't allowed. I figured when it snows you can't park there because of the snow removal vehicles...but that's common sense...who would think that between the hours of 3am-6am you can't park on the street...What random hours! So, now I have a $20 ticket...I don't think it's even worth fighting... I'd have to set a court date and I would probably be busy on that day anyways...I'll just mail them their stinkin' $20 and add a note telling them that there are no signs...Ok, I just needed to vent a little...I'm done:)

Spenny-boy the Cowboy is 17!!

I forgot to post anything for Spen's birthday...which was almost 2 weeks ago...I don't have any pictures of him from when he was little...but here are a couple that we took on Sunday I took the second one, he took the first one.

Squirrel Murderer & G2

I killed a squirrel:'( I was driving along and there was this squirrel in the middle of my lane and so I thought I'd just keep driving and if it were a smart squirrel he'd stay where he was. But no, he had to run under my back tire and get killed. That's how I know it was a "he" squirrel...He was slow in making up his mind and as a result he got squished:)

Ok, that was my story of the day. But something exciting! I have my G2!!! Yay! and I bought a steering wheel cover. It's a grayish purple-ish satin with black lace on top of it...I love it!

Prayer Request

My parents just recieved this from a man at our chaple. Please Pray

Dear Prayer Partners,

You may recall that I had previously asked for prayer for Sigurd Ericksson,
a friend of mine who with his wife attended the family bible hour with Dale
and I some months ago when Bill McRae was speaking on the Da Vinci code. At
that meeting, I felt Sigurd heard an excellent Gospel message and the clear
call of the Savior.

Sigurd's response afterwards was typical of his hard heart t/w God: "anyone
who believes throws their mind away."

Several weeks ago, doctors at McMaster University hospital discovered Sigurd
had a cancerous growth in the tube between the gall bladder and liver, next
to the liver: in an inoperable area.

Tonight after meeting we had a recorded call that the doctors have predicted
3-6 weeks for Sigurd to live.

Please pray that the Lord will give us an opportunity to visit him in
hospital (he is in much pain and sedated) and that the Lord will change his
hard heart that He may receive Christ at this 11th hour.

Thanks for your earnest prayers.

If anyone can give this request a wider circulation, I am sure the Lord
Himself will be honored by that.

With great concern,

Doug Stubbs

long needed update not at all in order;)

Ok, my sister left me a comment and pointed out that I am not working this week and I need to update my blog… So ...where do I start??? Umm…my cousin Mark got married the beginning of June and I went down to North Carolina for the wedding. I travelled with my Aunt Polly & Uncle Frank! It was a very fun trip and a really nice wedding! My Aunt Lois and Uncle Tom and my cousins Julie and Ben came up after the wedding and stayed here for a couple of weeks. (that’s Mark’s Mum, Dad and two youngest siblings) Umm… I worked all of June and everyday was pretty much the same. My Mum left on June 12 to go to Nigeria for 6 weeks and she’ll be back in 6 days! I miss her! I have been the only female in this house for too long!

I went to Guelph Bible Camp the first week of July to watch the director’s children and some of their staff’s kids. I had so much fun there! But I don’t feel like writing it all out at the moment… maybe later

I did something I have never done before...I failed my drivers test yesterday. I had a horrible woman test me. She was in a bad mood and I was really nervous at the beginning so I did a couple of things that I have NEVER done before right at the beginning and so she failed me. Now I have to wait 10 days before I can take another test. Oh well, I just hope that I have my licence before August so I can go to Ohio!!! (I’ll come somehow Jessi, even if I don’t have my licence)
Last Saturday my Dad, Caleb and I went and saw Pirates 2! SO SO SO good! If you haven’t seen it you should! And if you’ve already seen it…go again! I loved it! I want to see it again! Anyways, Caleb is having a friend over and I am in the middle of making Pizza! And I just realized that I don’t know if we have sauce for on the pizza…I wonder if Salsa would workJ I’ll think up something!

(Is that a good update Jessi;D)

"You have sprinkles on your toes"

Yesterday while I was at work I was playing "Superheros" with one of the boys I watch. He told me I had to have bare feet like he did. I told him I did have bare feet and he said "No you don't, you have sprinkles on them. I asked him where the sprinkles were and he said "There on your toes." He was talking about my nail polish;) It was cute:)
